The Decemberists drummer is to reveal his first solo album on June 2nd. Moen releases the album under the name Perhapst, with the album itself being self-titled.

The set was self-produced and features Stephen Malkmus on guitar, Decemberists bandmate Chris Funk on bass and former-Dharma Bums guitarist Eric Lovre.

With regard to the album's release Moen was humourously defensive, stating, "Make all the Phil Collins jokes you want, but listen to it once before you crack wise."
