They're in no rush, but recording, alongside Josh Homme, is going at such a pace, according to Monkeys sticksmith Matt Helders, that it might all be put to bed before they know it.
Sessions for the follow-up to Favourite Worst Nightmare have been wrapped with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme at his Joshua Tree studio. Helders revealed to the The Guardian that, although the band are under no time restraints, the album is close to being finished. "We're gonna do a bit more recording next month [November] and then we'll probably be in here [the band's rehearsal space] for most of December getting ready to go out again," he said. "We made a start on [the album] a few weeks ago and we're gonna go back and try and finish it off. That'll be two blocks of two weeks. It's probably do-able for us to finish it in this next block. But we don't want to put pressure on by saying, 'we've got to finish it this time'." (0) comments - discuss in the forum |
