| Avalanches album rumour quashed |

 It's been nine years since The Avalanches burst onto the scene with their album of sample-clearance devastation Since I Left You, .... wonder what they've been upto in intervening nine years? Not much, apparently, with the wait for a follow-up set to continue. Go on lads: make it a decade.
Denials have come out of Camp Avalanches after rumours surfaced that their new album would be ready for release in July. The rumours sourced back to Australian radio station Triple J who made the claim that the long-awaited follow-up to 2000's Since I Left You album would be ready this summer. However, Planet Sound quizzed a source at the band's British label, XL, who denied the claim. The source was quoted: "Unfortunately, we have no new album on the schedule at all, and it certainly won't be as soon as July. It'll be ready when it's ready."  (0) comments - discuss in the forum |
