Nothing like a bit of forward planning as Bloc Party kick-off the new year with details of UK tour for January.

The band will perform seven dates across four different cities. A one-off date in April has also been announced at London's Olympia.

The tour is expected to heavily feature the band's new album Intimacy, which was released as a download in August 21st and will be physically available from October 27th.

A new single, Talons, which does not feature on Intimacy, has been announced for release on October 20th. The track was, though, recorded as part of the same sessions as the album.
