DJ and festival organiser Rob da Bank is getting ready for the inaugural Camp Bestival, which takes place this weekend. Blogging for the NME, he says he hasn't quite figured out what to do with one of the headliners' stage props yet...
We're talking about The Flaming Lips, of course. Their imaginative live show features an immense LED screen, complete with hulking great big lasers, and the production crew hasn't quite worked out how to hang it yet. Da Bank also revealed that lots of bands on the bill are asking to borrow Chuck Berry's vintage amps. He explained: "On the musical front our stage managers and production team are dealing with the usual last minute requests for equipment, many asking to borrow Chuck Berry's amplifiers, which are strictly off limits to anyone aside from the mighty rock 'n' roller." You can read Rob's Camp Bestival blog on the NME website. (0) comments - discuss in the forum |
