A glimpse into Meloy's live solo excursions will be revealed on a new solo album.
The album, entitled Colin Meloy Sings Live!, will be released on April 8th through Kill Rock Stars, and comprises material taken from Meloy's 2006 solo acoustic tour. Making up the album will be songs taken from Meloy's first band, Tarkio, and select cuts from all the Decemberists albums up until 2006. Other Decemberists' rarities include a cut from the 2006 EP Picaresqueties, snippets of Smiths, R.E.M., Pink Floyd, and Fleetwood Mac covers and two unreleased originals, Dracula's Daughter and Wonder.
