Festival round-up: Latitude, Green Man and Camp Bestival updates
Written by Beck Kingsnorth
Festival TimeJoanna Newsom for Latitude; The Peth for Green Man; Mad Hatters at Camp Bestival; rain for Glasto

Only joking about that last part, but it's probably true. Anyway, with only a few weeks to go until The Great British Summer is in full swing, more additions to the line-ups at Latitude and Green Man have been announced.

Green Man have got The Peth, which features Rhys Ifans along with Super Furry Animals drummer Dafydd Ieuan, Dic Ben, Kris Jenkins and Mick Hilton. Ifans, who was the original SFA vocalist before he went on to be a Hollywood superstar (sort of) and Sienna Miller's squeeze. The Peth release their debut album, The Golden Mile, on September 1st, and play Green Man on the Sunday (17th August).

Meanwhile, Latitude Festival has recruited waify harpist Joanna Newsom as well as The Coral, Wild Beasts, Clinic, Johnny Flynn, Lykke Li, Animal Kingdom and Slow Club, and Camp Bestival has announced that it is going with a Mad Hatter's Tea Party fancy dress theme. Alright!

Where I come from, "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" means 'Bring loads of drugs and get f.ucked up. surely they can't be suggesting that?

Newsom for Latitude is a bonus. Proper made me smile that did.
