The covers make for interesting reading too, Faithfull has picked from Brian Eno, Espers, Morrissey, Neko Case, Judee Sill and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club for a new double-disc affair.
Released on January 19th through UMTV (and available right now on iTunes) the sixties chanteuse has a stellar cast at hand for her new two disc set, Easy Come, Easy Go. The album was recorded in December 2007 with the help of producer Hal Willner and a session band made up of Marc Ribot, Greg Cohen, Rob Burger, Barry Reynolds and the Dirty Three's Jim White. Lending vocal support on duet duties are Nick Cave, Chan Marshall, Jarvis Cocker, Antony Hegarty, Keith Richards, Rufus Wainwright and the latter's family Kate and Anna McGarrigle. Further musical support comes courtesy of Bad Seeds man Warren Ellis supplying the violin treatments on three tracks, with Sean Lennon and Teddy Thompson chipping in some guitar also. The press release outlines that Faithfull and her session band from the album will play a series of dates in Europe's main capital cities in order to recreate the album and dust off tracks from her own back catalogue.
