Not only is the hoary metal mammoth that is Metallica tackling the twin-headed teenage armageddon of the Reading/Leeds festivals, but the band are plotting two much smaller dates in London and Berlin to launch their new album.
Metallica will play two club shows to promote the release of their new album, and first in five years, Death Magnetic. The dates, according to a posting on the band's website, will take place in Berlin and London on September 12th and 15th respectively. The website posting stated: "Have we mentioned that we have an album coming out in September? Maybe just a few times…so to celebrate, we thought it would be cool to hang with a few of our closest friends in some of our favorite cities. "On September 12 in Berlin, Germany and on September 15 in London, England we'll be hosting a little bash to celebrate the blessed event of the upcoming addition to the Metallica family/catalog. There will be a live band (that would be us!) and tickets will only be available to MetClub members and Mission: Metallica members." The locations for both shows have not yet been revealed. The band will be playing to a slightly bigger crowd when they headline the Reading And Leeds Festivals on August 24 and 22. (0) comments - discuss in the forum |
