Michael Jackson was pronounced dead late on Thursday night, June 25th, after suffering from cardiac arrest from which he was unable to be resuscitated. He was about to embark on a 50 date comeback residency at London's O2 Arena, and had been in intensive rehearsals prior to the fatal incident.

Whilst foul play has been ruled out, there has been no official cause given for the cardiac arrest. Following the news, family, friends, fans and stars have paid tribute, including Quincy Jones, Paul McCartney, and many acts playing at the Glastonbury Festival.
