Art Vinyl today announces the winner of their Best Art Vinyl 2009 -the Muse album The Resistance'. Manic Street Preachers' Tesco-bothering and frankly outstanding Journal For Plague Lovers was second and Fever Ray were third.

Previous winners have been Fleet Foxes, The Cribs' Man's Needs, Woman's Needs, Whatever, Hard-Fi's Stars of CCTV and Thom Yorke's The Eraser.

From Jan 5th the Best Art Vinyl winners will be featured in exhibitions at The Art Vinyl Gallery, Basement level, Selfridges London, Rough Trade East, London, Snap Galleries in Birmingham, and Georges House Gallery in Folkestone. The full list can be seen here
