The nominees for this year - which has seen more entries than ever before - were announced in London this morning.

The albums on the shortlist are:

Robert Plant And Alison Krauss – Raising Sand
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Rachel Unthank And The Winterset – The Bairns

The winner of the Prize will be announced live on BBC Two on 9th September and there will be a second show broadcast on Friday 12th September. The awards show will be hosted by Jools Holland, and the programme by Lauren Laverne.
