It's been seven years since 7 World's Collide was recorded. That Neil Finn live solo album saw the Crowded House man rope in pals from Radiohead, Johnny Marr and Lisa Germano. Up next is a similar album affair, to be recorded in the studio with same set of chums only augmented by some more big hitters.
The 7 Worlds Collide follow-up sees Johnny Marr, Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien and drummer Phil Selway and Lisa Germano join Finn in the studio. Further guests on the recording are confirmed to be Wilco quartet Jeff Tweedy, John Stirratt, Glenn Kotche, and Pat Sansone, Neil Finn's son Liam Finn, and Kiwis Don McGlashan and Bic Runga. The album will be recorded over Christmas and New year at Neil Finn's Roundhead Studios in Auckland. A run of live dates from January 5th - 7th are planned in support of the album. All proceeds from the new album will go to Oxfam International. (0) comments - discuss in the forum |
