Neil Young is set to release an album of new material at the end of March, entitled Fork In The Road.

Young, who is currently touring Australia and New Zealand until the beginning of February, has uploaded the title track of the album on his website.

Rumours have speculated that the subject matter for the new album will be the current global economic crisis, in a similar manner to how his 2006's Living With War album addressed George W. Bush and the War on Terror.

Meanwhile, the album's release has resulted in the delay to the anticipated release of Neil Young's Archives Volume 1. The album, which has already been delayed on several occasions, was pegged for release in February but is now anticipated to see the light of day sometime in Spring. Another album which appears to have crashed and burned is Toast - an old unreleased album Young recorded with Crazy Horse - this was set for release at the end of January, but has now disappeared from the schedules completely.
