Portishead's Geoff Barrow's art gallery venture

Usually when music stars get a bit of wedge, they treat themselves to helicopter lessons, a Swiss retreat or packing their conk with kilos of Bolivian sweetener off a night-lady's boobies. Portishead's Geoff Barrow has gone for the high-brow approach, and opened his own art gallery.

Geoff Barrow, aided by a business partner, has opened an art gallery in Bristol. Entitled Friend & Co. the gallery is more of an art space, with the onus by Barrow to provide a platform for art outside the mainstream, or 'outsider art' as he puts it.

The gallery is located in Bristol and is currently showcasing work by The Horrors frontman Faris Badwan.
