The singer-songwriter has struck a deal with publishers Akashic, and will be releasing a book of poetry. No release date for the venture has been announced.

Adams also issued the news on his website - www.ryan-adams.com - that he is busy working on his tenth album.  Alongside coming up with a successor to last year's Easy Tiger is the news that Adams will soon be displaying a collection of his paintings.

The renaissance man will be supporting Oasis on their Canadian tour in September.
