Sunset Rubdown to slay on next album

Or, to give it its full title, Dragonslayer. Yup, same title as that future-pitched swords n' fantasy flick. Given the alt. music world's continual recycling of new ideas, we wait with baited btreath to see which bands choose Clash of the Titans, Time Bandits and Krull (horses instead of spaceships? Gotta love low production values.)

Sunset Rubdown will release their fourth album, Dragonslayer, this June. The set hits the shops on June 23rd through Jagjaguwar, and will be the first Rubdown release to feature bassist/drummer Mark Nicol.

Prior to the album's release, the group will release a 7" single named Sunset Rubdown Introducing Moonface through Aagoo Records in the first week of April. The tracks featured, Coming To The Dawn and Insane Love Is Awakening, will not be appearing on Dragonslayer.
